You will then receive a second email confirming your offer. Confirmation and acceptance of your order is subject to stock levels at the time of order. This second email will notify you of whether your order has been accepted and if it has been shipped including any tracking codes (if applicable).
In respect of orders placed through the Website, these General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply regardless of how you access the Website. Please find below information regarding:
OPENING AN ACCOUNT AND PLACING AN ORDER
To place an order, you can open an account with us which will require you to provide some personal information. Alternatively, you can choose to place your order without setting up an account. Setting up an account has the added benefits of tracking your purchase history, seeing the status of your order, and saving billing and shipping addresses for future orders.
You confirm that all information and details provided by you to us (including on registration) are true, accurate and up to date. You can update or correct your details at any time by going to your account.
When you create an account, we will ask you to use passwords or other means to allow you to access your account and to maintain your account security. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password and account information. We shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account. Should you become aware of or suspect any unauthorised use of your password or account, please contact us. If we are suspicious of any fraudulent activity coming from your account, it can reserve the right to refuse you access to your account and can delete the account.
ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER
Please note that completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your offer to purchase products from us. We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge that we have received and are processing your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when we take payment from you and despatch the product(s). Prior to despatch of the product(s), JCSRRUK has the right to decline an order for any reason, including legal and regulatory reasons.
The duration of our contract with you will start from when you receive the order despatch email and last until the last day of your right to return the products.
If we cannot supply you with the product/s you ordered, we will inform you of this by email. If you have already paid for the product, we will refund you for the product/s as soon as reasonably possible and will let you know if and when a replacement for the product you ordered is possible.
We accept card payment through the payment portal Stripe and in the case of a Christian Science Reading Room, Church or Society with an Inter Reading Room registered account, we also accept bank transfers and cheques as a form of payment.
All card payments are subject to authorisation by your card issuer. We take full payment immediately for all orders unless you are a Christian Science Reading Room, Church or Society with a registered Inter Reading Room account, where you can pay with cheque or bank transfer up to 30 days after receiving your item/s.
All products ordered will remain the property of the JCSRRUK until we have delivered them to the address specified by you.
For orders placed from outside the UK:
Purchases will be made in Pounds Sterling. International credit card providers or banks will determine the exchange rate and may add an additional processing or administration charge in relation to such payment which international credit cardholders will be liable to pay.
(Including shipping charges and timescales)
Shipping charges and timescales vary depending on how heavy your order is, and the delivery address. You’ll find full details of our shipping charges here.
All our products are stored and packaged for delivery in a warehouse owned by a third party myWarehouse Ltd. Once your order has been placed and accepted, your delivery address details will be sent to myWarehouse who will then pass this on to the relevant courier or to Royal Mail.
Delivery will be to the UK or international address given in your order. If no one is available at a residential or other address at the time of delivery, a note will be left to advise whether your order has been left in a safe place e.g. with a neighbour, the local packet shop or post office or if delivery will be tried again.
We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products if the delay or failure is wholly or partly caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Our products are sold without duty having been paid by us. The recipient may have to pay import duty or a formal customs entry fee prior to or on delivery. Additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation and customers are required to check these details before placing an order for international delivery.
Where applicable, it will be your sole responsibility to comply with any export controls or sanctions rules applicable to goods supplied to you.
Where the supply of your product(s) is delayed or prevented for reasons beyond our control (for example import delays or higher than anticipated demand) we will make every effort to keep you informed but shall be under no liability to you for such delay.

Any changes to your order must be notified to us by email before our Warehouse sends you a dispatch confirmation email.
