What is the Joint Christian Science Reading Room UK?
The Joint Christian Science Reading Room UK was developed in the early 2000s to respond to the needs of the Christian Science field in the UK.
We are a Journal listed joint reading room and we adhere to the reading room guidelines laid out in Article XXI of the Manual of the Mother Church. Our trustees are members of sponsoring Christian Science churches. Every church in the UK is a de facto member of the JCSRRUK.
We continue to develop new ideas and regularly send out newsletters with updates on Christian Science activities across the UK.
What is the UK Online Reading Room?
The UK Online Reading Room is one of the many activities of the JCSRRUK. As the name suggests, it is an place where the public can find information about Christian Science and its founder, as well as an online shop with products from the Christian Science Publishing Society. Just like in bricks-and-mortar reading room, the public can also access Christian Science lectures and they can contact our team of experienced Christian Scientists with any questions they may have.
Meet the team
The Trustees and employees of the JCSRRUK are all members of Christian Science branch churches or societies here in the UK. Most are class-taught and many have worked for the Christian Science movement in other capacities as well, such as Committee on Publication, as a Journal-listed practitioner, and a Christian Science nurse. We are so grateful for the ideas and hard work each one or our team contributes.
